"We couldn't be happier with our 'team' at Melloy Nissan," says Jean G. in this 5-star review on DealerRater!

This is one of the busiest car dealerships in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Reason being: They offer outstanding sales and service. The fact that Nissans are one of the top selling vehicles in our town, does credit to Mr. Roy Benson of Melloy Nissan. Mr. Benson has more interest in his clients than in making a buck for himself or Nissan. He did everything possible to make our purchase at Melloy Nissan a happy one. We were met in the parking lot by our Salesman, Miguel Diaz, and his supervisor, Paul Chandhok, because we had called prior to coming down. We have bought two previous vehicles at Melloy Nissan and were very pleased with their courtesy and professionalism. However, our previous salesman had died and so we were delivered into the hands of Miguel Diaz. Miguel did above and beyond what was expected of him and has the patience of a Saint! Mr. Paul Chandhok was constantly checking in on us to see if we were being taken care of and if we needed anything while we waited. This is my husband and my second Nissan purchase each. We couldn't be happier with our 'team' at Melloy Nissan. We will continue to purchase our cars from them! You won't be diappointed!

[VIDEO]: BRICs Buzz: Carlos Ghosn Discusses Why Davos Delegates are Discussing Emerging Economies

Carlos Ghosn, Chairman and CEO of the Renault-Nissan Alliance, explains why everyone at the World Economic Forum Annual Meeting in Davos is buzzing about the BRICs - the high-growth economies of Brazil, Russia, India and China.

Ghosn, who himself was born and raised in emerging markets, also says that owning a car is very different for people in developing economies compared to drivers in the mature markets of Japan, western Europe and North America.

Your Monday Maintenance Tip: Pay Attention to the Lights on your Dashboard Panel

https://encrypted-tbn1.gstatic.com/images?q=tbn:ANd9GcQ1oBxATtRQmK8fcAJQFhAtmVcPGBgUvNXk0Kfakpo_9jhsWaMl
Every time you start your car they glow to greet you, but after a few seconds of engine operation they fade away - hopefully not to be seen again until the next engine start. But motorists should heed their car's cry for attention and be aware of the red and yellow indicators on the instrument panel that illuminate to let you know when a problem occurs.  The critical - 'big three' - warning lights are those that monitor engine oil pressure, engine coolant temperature, and the vehicle charging system. To reduce the chances of vehicle damage and/or a roadside breakdown, these warning lights require prompt and proper action when they illuminate.

Nissan showcases high volume, small footprint and best-in-class fuel economy at 2013 MIAS

Nissan at the 2013 Montreal International Auto Show

Today, Nissan presented for the first time in Canada, the all-new Nissan NV200 compact cargo van at the 2013 Montreal International Auto Show (MIAS). The third addition to Nissan's commercial vehicle lineup in Canada boasts several segment-leading features including: best-in-class fuel economy of 8.7 L/100 km city, 7.1 L/100 km highway, best-in-class turning radius for manoeuvering in tight city spaces, and other accommodating features such as Tire Pressure Monitoring System, low clearance height for easy indoor parking, and a conveniently low loading height.

The NV200 is the third commercial vehicle offering from Nissan following the full-size Nissan NV Cargo, introduced in Canada in March 2011, and the full-size Nissan NV Passenger Van which launched in April 2012. Like its cohorts, the NV200 offers some of the best examples of innovation in its segment - drawing on Nissan's 75-year experience with commercial vehicles. The Nissan NV200 provides a new entry point for current cargo van and small pickup buyers looking for a compact, efficient alternative to their larger, less fuel-efficient vehicles.

"This is a very exciting time for Nissan as we are in the midst of our strongest product offensive to date with five new models in 15 months." said Christian Meunier, President, Nissan Canada Inc. "The NV200 provides small business owners with what they need most: thoughtful technology, best-in-class fuel economy, comfort, manoeuvrability and functional design at an affordable price.  We look forward to announcing pricing in February and welcoming it to our 44 certified NV dealers across Canada this spring."

While new to North America, the Nissan NV200 compact van is already in use in more than 40 countries around the world, receiving acclaim from both users and media alike for its optimal functionality and smart design. Having won the 2010 International Van of the Year award in Europe, and the 2010 Commercial Delivery Van (CDV) of the Year in China, NV200 has also established a presence as the strong segment leader in Japan with a wide-ranging lineup. NV200 was chosen as the exclusive New York City 'Taxi of Tomorrow' and is the latest example of Nissan's exciting global vision for the private hire industry.

Your Monday Maintenance Tip: Let floor mats take winter’s beating

Use floor mats to protect carpeting. The best type for controlling salt, slush, and mud in winter are rubber waffle-style mats. They stay in place, don’t allow the water to seep through, and are easy to wash clean. Carpet-style mats are helpful, too. Shake, vacuum, or wash as needed; replace them as they wear through.

Nissan Debuts 2014 Versa Note, Resonance Crossover Concept at North American International Auto Show

Nissan today presented two important all-new vehicles during a press conference at the 2013 North American International Auto Show (NAIAS). The 2014 Nissan Versa Note, which made its North American debut, is the second generation of the popular Versa hatchback. It is scheduled to go on sale at Nissan dealers nationwide this summer.

The sleekly styled Versa Note shared the stage with the dramatic Nissan Resonance, a design concept previewing the direction of future Nissan crossovers. The Resonance concept is being shown for the time anywhere at NAIAS, which runs from Jan. 19th through the 27th at Detroit's Cobo Center. Nissan is also debuting an all-new multi-level exhibit stand at the show, featuring an amphitheater-style stage and cantilevered electronic "halo" surrounding the display space.

Said Nissan Division Vice President and General Manager Al Castignetti: "Our three all-new vehicles launched in the past six months – Altima, Sentra and Pathfinder – helped propel the Nissan Division to its best year ever with sales of more than one-million vehicles. We're keeping the excitement going with this great-looking Versa Note and its unexpected and affordable technology, which should help Versa retain its title as the top-selling nameplate in the entry-level segment*."

The list of advanced features offered on the roomy, 5-passenger 2014 Versa Note includes a segment-first** Around View® Monitor, NissanConnectSM with Navigation System with Hands-Free Text Messaging Assistant and Active Grille Shutter – which helps it deliver expected 40 miles per gallon highway fuel economy with the CVT transmission. A starting Manufacturer's Suggested Retail Price (MSRP)*** of $13,990 USD for the new Versa Note was announced today, joining the 2013 Versa Sedan's $11,990 USD starting MSRP***.

Nissan Executive Vice President Andy Palmer had the honor of unveiling the Resonance Concept, stating: "The Resonance concept leads Nissan into a new 'innovation era' of smart design and smart technology, ensuring that Nissan will continue its global crossover design leadership for many years to come."

The Resonance concept was created at Nissan Design America in San Diego, CA and features an open, airy architecture highlighted by a unique "floating" roof created through the use of the thin, steeply raked A-pillars, large full-length glass panel and flowing D-pillar design. Inside, the designers imagined what the future of first-class space travel might be: Welcoming yet exclusive and high-tech yet premium. The resulting "VIP lounge," with its light, buttery leather and premium-stitched seats, exudes genuine sophistication.

The all-wheel drive Resonance concept also features an efficient hybrid electric drivetrain that includes Nissan's proprietary "one-motor, two-clutch" system, which combines a smaller displacement internal combustion gasoline engine with an electric motor/lithium-ion battery and advanced management system.

"The all-new Versa Note, and a future crossover that could look a lot like what you see here with Resonance, are just two of the many future products coming from Nissan," concluded Palmer. "Nissan welcomes attendees at the show to see what 'Innovation that excites' is all about with our new display, our exciting 2013 Nissan model lineup and this special preview of what's ahead."

Your Monday Maintenance Tip: Checking your oil level

It's quick and easy to tell if your engine needs oil. Just park on level ground and wait until the engine has cooled down after driving, then locate the dipstick. Pull it out and wipe it clean, then push it all the way back in until the top of it is seated properly in the dip tube again. Wait a moment then pull it out again. Check the level of the oil. If it's between the high and low marks, you're fine. (If it's too low, add a little.) The high and low marks can be denoted by two dots, an "H" and "L" or a shaded area on the dipstick.
